LEGO TECHNIC represents 10.2% of LEGO gross income

Jørgen Vig Knudstorp (CEO for The LEGO Group), stated at Nuernberger Toy Fair, that 20 per cent of the company turnover at a value of approximately a billion euro, is made with adults. Read the full article at Welt Online (here an online translation to English).
Relevant for this fact should be the raising attention , the company is putting on product lines addressed to AFOL community in first place (like new modular buildings, Star Wars UCS, sophisticated TECHNIC sets,...).

This at the same time when LEGO GmbH announces a turnover increase of 8 million euro, from 221 to 229 million (a 4% increase) in the German speaking countries, the actual most siginificant market for the company. An online English translation for the same Press Release, can be read from here.
At present LEGO makes approximately 60 per cent of its turnover in Europe, 25 per cent in North America and the remaining 15 per cent in RoW.

Most significant for TBs readers, is the reference to the fact that LEGO TECHNIC increased to 10,2 per cent of the gross income. ;)
The fact that the LEGO TECHNIC RC Bulldozer as been a strong market success and have been on the top sales (while LEGO got 5, on the German Top 20 play products market), made certainly its contribution to this good performance.
