A few weeks ago someone raised my attention to this masterpiece, also highlighted at Tinkernology (a blog for LEGO Robotics and Mechanical Engineering, by Shep).
This is one of those rare videos which I get tempted to post here, with auto and continuous play features switched on. ...won't do it, because some of you would send me e-mail complaining about the noise.

This is one of many similar videos from superbird28, at his YouTube channel. Most of them seem to be preliminary tests or early versions from this contraption. They all worth to see though!
Also it seems there is something new, on its way to grow into a larger project...
Looking forward to see more!

amazing! the fluid motion makes it look like a complex assembly line. The second one is cool too - it took me a second to realise that there was only one barrel...
Whoops- Just realised there are two barrels :) still awesome though!
really inspiring!
At first I though that whole mechanism is powered by one normal motor, so I was realy impressed with the synchronisation, than I realized that there is mindstorms with its motors and sensors
at operetion, that makes the synchronisation simpler. But still it is a great work of mechanical engeneering. I like it much. :)
First thing I thought of when I saw this was my old semi-automatic pick-up (record player). It must be great fun to design and build something like this.
I would pay for instructions to this
