Week TechVideo, 2010 #03 - Racing on the frozen lake

The winter adventure continues...

The winter season is closing and after some snow adventures, Mahjqa (Peer Kreuger) went for an Ice Racing in the frozen lakes from the Netherlands.

The video description at YT, contains:
"The first three cars are built on the same chassis, with some modifications between versions. The green car only had rear wheel drive, and thus had a tendency to get stuck. The white and blue cars are basically the same, with only some minor tweaking in the steering department. The IceTen at the end has skid steering, which basically means that it only works on VERY smooth surfaces. However, on ice, there is nothing more maneuverable. "

You may also find some photos of the featured cars, from Peer's photostream at flickr.

Those cars were really cool (pun intended)! My favorite is IceTen (white, orange, and purple). I only wish there was a frozen lake where I live...but then again, I could just go to an indoor ice rink, right?

P.S. Poor duck...I hope it wasn't hurt. :(

Well... I didn't copy all the text from the video description at YT.

There it is also written:
"No animals were harmed in the making of this movie." :)

Some pretty nifty cars, and one incredibly nifty duck!
How is skid steering any different form the other cars, because most of them skidded anyway?

Arezey; As far as I can tell, the electronics are still unharmed. Sorry to disappoint ;)

RjbsNXT; it's best to check the links Conchas posted above.

on, at!?

This is always a pain to me... and my limited English skills. :)

It's swimming IN the lake.
Sailing, skating and (in this case racing) ON the lake.
And camping AT the lake.

Never mind..... My Spanish is even worse....

Keep up the good work!
