Had all the parts ready, thanks to your blogs, to enable me to build two of these the day the instructions became available - so many thanks to you for making this possible. See my red version of the Motorized Excavator here: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=440207.
I see you use also some parts that are new in this model. So you must had them ready also before, despite I don't see them yet selling at BrickLink. ;)
All the parts were as per the instructions but with red parts replacing all the yellow and yellow replacing the red, where possible. This was all possible thanks to Lego who were very helpful ;)
I'm now working on a red version of the truck, it is already working I just need to finalize the cabin.
Bought the 8051, 8052 and 8043 this week.
The Motor Bike's a- and b-model are equally stunning!(got two sets!)
The Container Truck is a well designed model with a unique switching mechanisme. I do like the blue/gray colours. (I thinks this set is great as a partspack for beginners because of multitude of different parts and both an LA and m-motor!)
Haven't build the excavator yet.(This weekend maybe)But i can't wait to get RC-ing....
The way the crane truck uses two different steering arm lengths for different steering angles is just brilliant! Thanks for the links Conchas!
@ Conchas
