A new platform and a set of mobile apps, designed to introduce a younger generation to the excitement of building and programming robots.

The LEGO MINDSTORMS EV3 set, as well as the 3D building instruction mobile apps and web instructions, will be available in the second half of 2013. Although the application based on Autodesk Inventor Publisher, was already demonstrated at LEGOWORLD Copenhagen, last month.
Guess it will happen sooner or later, and better the sooner than the later!

I do like reading other blog posts, but at the moment I'm waiting for the results of the reverse challenge. The website says the results will be published later in january. It's march now. Could please name a date, because at the moment I'm visiting this blog multiple times a day to see if the results are published already.
Just saying... I thought maybe you forgot about it.
I'll take a book anyday, one reason I like building Lego is it gets me away from the computer and I get the feeling alot of parents would agree.
@ Allanp
I absolutely agree with you
(Building Instructions in Booklets
VS. Building Instructions on Screen),
but I also believe that the
future has amazing options
for both us and new generations
of LEGO Fans.
I must admit I made that comment before watching the actual video. Whilst my personal prefrence is still the same I like how you can rotate the model to see things from all angles and play an animation to see exactly where the parts go. This would be very useful to new comers those who need a bit more help when building technic.
@Luc2000
No excuses about this! :(
I'm well behind late with this for a set of reasons...
I'm also having an hard time to evaluate the mismatches. The challenge was quite difficult this time and the mismatches are often too much, to make a unique calculation without certain amount of subjectivity...
At certain point when the differences are significant, it is quite difficult to count which parts are missing, extra, or misplaced... And such decisions may have influence on the mismatches counted ahead.
As we have three different prizes this time, the relative positioning among participants is important which makes the precise calculations more important.
I'm doing my best to come out with a fair result to everyone. :P
Lets see if there are significant differences among the participants, so we don't have any complains in the end.
