Week TechVideo, 2013 #34 - What the heck?

This is time to reveal the latest MOC by Han Crielaard (designer-han). A truck 6x4 with rolloader crane trailer.

This one got peculiar orange/lime color scheme and that was the main reason to push it here this time. Although based on the colors from the truck fleet of a real Dutch 'special and heavy transport' company,  even I that often have been advocate for alternative colors or color schemes than those commonly used in official LEGO Technic sets, was quite shocked when I got to see this!...
What do you guys think? Should the Technic designers also consider similar color schemes in their official models. (leave you answer and thoughts in the comments to this post)

Main realizations or innovations from this model are the precise steering wheels on the trailer and the rolloader crane.

All packed within a 88cm monster, with 25cm height, 14,5cm width and 4,7Kg.

You can read all about the motivations, challenges doing this model and specifications, on its dedicated page at Han's website.

Please avoid sending requests to post specific models on this TBs section.

We understand some of you would enjoy to see your creations featured here, but please understand that because only one video gets highlighted per week, it is impossible to accommodate all the great MOCs continuously build by the Technic builders out there. They simply won't fit all and that's also not the purpose of this blog (see the header statement).

Many of your MOCs are scanned anyway and listed for later publication when they do not fit immediately. However some remain in the backlog queue just for too long and eventually loose the relevance or the publication opportunity window. As a rule of thumb, we also avoid publishing MOCs that have been featured by their authors or other fans at some other great web places dedicated to the Technic community out there. It doesn't mean that occasionally some won't get published here anyway.

Thanks for your understanding!

Lime and orange is a bold "fashion-Statement", but I like it!
Excellent model with innovative functions.

Those "rad" colors are "groovy", man! :)

The white works well on the crane, the rest, not quite so well!

Different colour schemes would be awesome

funky colours are okay, but i miss some "neutral" element in this - white, black, grey to contrast the colours.
as they are same brightness and same "flash level", the lack of contrast blurs the countours.
