Week TechVideo, 2013 #35 - New-Holland wheeled excavator by GuiliuG

We have not been featuring an excavator for long, so here it goes a new one!
Guillaume (GuiliuG or lego7777777), a Belgium Technic builder, designed a New Holland wheeled excavator, which he took to the limits of compactness and complexity.

Below the extensive list of motorized functions included in this model:
  • 4WS
  • 4WD
  • Rear stabilizer
  • Front blade
  • Superstructure slew
  • Arm sideways rotation
  • First arm articulation
  • Second arm articulation
  • Third arm articulation
  • Bucket articulation
All these packed in a small sized model, for the number of functions and amount of PF elements included (5 M-motors, 3 L-motors, 4 IR Receivers and of course 1 Battery Box).

I was impressed by the way that Guillaume found to pack every function and elements into such a small space. He even managed to include the notorious solution to pass two functions through a turntable. Really an advance model!

Of course I could only have seen all this from the building instructions carefully prepared by Guillaume, through 84 major steps and 88 pages.

You can find more information about this model at GuiliuG's website, where you can also contact the author to buy the respective building instructions for a small fee.

Please avoid sending requests to post specific models on this TBs section.

We understand some of you would enjoy to see your creations featured here, but please understand that because only one video gets highlighted per week, it is impossible to accommodate all the great MOCs continuously build by the Technic builders out there. They simply won't fit all and that's also not the purpose of this blog (see the header statement).

Many of your MOCs are scanned anyway and listed for later publication when they do not fit immediately. However some remain in the backlog queue just for too long and eventually loose the relevance or the publication opportunity window. As a rule of thumb, we also avoid publishing MOCs that have been featured by their authors or other fans at some other great web places dedicated to the Technic community out there. It doesn't mean that occasionally some won't get published here anyway.

Thanks for your understanding!
